What is the Obagi-C Rx system?

The Obagi-C Rx system is a clinically proven, prescription strength skin care system which uses a formulation of 4% hydroquinone to reduce hyperpigmentation, age spots and melasma and the powerful antioxidant vitamin c to address the early signs of skin ageing. The system can be adapted to those with dry skin as well as those with oily skin. It is a perfect system to ensure softer, smoother, radiant and more even looking skin.

Whether you have dry or oily skin, both formulations of the system include:

Obagi C-Rx Cleansing Gel is first in the system. It prepares the skin for deep penetration of the other C-Rx products whilst removing excess oil and make up. The gel is also fortified with Vitamin C, enhancing its antioxidating and rejuvenating effects.

Obagi C-Clarifying Serum which contains 4% hydroquinone, a bleaching agent available on prescription only. This product reduces the appearance of dark spots for a lighter, brighter complexion.

Obagi Sun Shield Matte Broad Spectrum SPF 50 prevents stimuli that triggers the pathways for melanin production. It quickly absorbs into the skin leaving a matte and non-greasy finish.

Obagi C-Therapy night Cream which contains 4% hydroquinone gradually diminishes the appearance of dark spots and provides continuous coverage with vitamin c and E while you sleep.

For those with oily skin, Obagi recommends the Obagi C-Rx Balancing Toner as the second product in the C-Rx system. This is a brightening alcohol free toner, formulated to help balance the pH levels of oily skin.

For those with normal to dry skin Obagi recommends the C-Exfoliating Day Lotion as the third step in the system. This smooth, lightweight moisturiser hydrates and gently exfoliates to reveal a brighter, healthier complexion.
